Jay N. Cooperson, AIA, LEED AP

Principal, Partner
Jay Cooperson earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. His forty years in the design field have encompassed urban design and large scale site planning as well as a wide range of architectural projects, marked by concern for the environment.  A number of his projects have received design awards. Mr. Cooperson is Principal Architect with LEED accreditation and currently serves as an adjunct Assistant Professor at Drexel University. 

Frederick S. Roland, PE, SECB, RA, CFEI, CFII

Senior Structural Engineer
A University of Illinois graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture and Masters Degree in Structural Engineering. His experience in architecture and structural engineering is widely diversified including educational, religious, multi-family, commercial and industrial facilities. Frequently sought by the insurance and legal community to conduct forensic engineering investigations and provide testimony as an expert witness and has provided those services in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.  

Jill M. Riley

Interior Designer
Ms. Riley earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Philadelphia University (formerly, Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science) in 1992.  Upon graduation, her primary focus was on residential design, specializing in kitchens and bathrooms.  In 1999, Ms. Riley became part of the Cooperson Team as a designer and project manager.  She has experience in a wide variety of project types including community institutional, multi-family housing, education, retail and hospitality with an emphasis on corporate design.

Robert B. Spring

Architectural Designer, Partner
Mr. Spring studied at Philadelphia University earning his Bachelor of Architecture in 2006. He became part of the Cooperson Team immediately upon graduation. Mr. Spring’s strength in technology and graphic design has appointed him the I.T. and CAD manager for our group. He has provided design and construction documents for both new construction and renovation projects. His experience includes projects for educational, residential, commercial, forensic, and institutional clients both in Canada and the United States.

Richard A. Wilson

Senior Architect
Mr. Wilson studied architecture at Pennsylvania State University and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He received his architectural registration in the state of Delaware in 1970. His career in Architecture began in 1957 with a local Wilmington Delaware firm. As senior architect, Mr. Wilson has provided design services and project management for clients in retail, educational, medical, and multi-family residential market sectors.

Qiao Liang, LEED AP

Architectural Designer, Partner
Ms. Liang was educated in China earning her Master and Bachelor of Architecture at Chongqing University and her Ph.D of Engineering in Architecture at Tsinghua University. She won third prize for “Urban Celebration” Conceptual Design International Competition in 2003 and also received the Award of Excellence Prize at the 2nd China Weihai International Architectural Design Grand Prize Competition in 2005. Ms. Liang relocated from China to the US in 2006 and joined Cooperson that same year. Her experience encompasses many different types of projects in all phases of design. 

Michael E. Lukshides

Senior Architectural Designer, Partner
Upon completing his Associates Degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering at Delaware Technical and Community College, Mr. Lukshides went on to earn his Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University in 2007. As an architectural designer and project manager for Cooperson, he has been involved in all phases of work, from site evaluation to design, documentation and construction administration. In addition, Mr. Lukshides has extensive experience in the construction of museum quality models and renderings for client public presentations and fund raising purposes.
