Constructed in 2002, the 63,000 sq. ft. multi-level roof atop the New Castle County Courthouse has prematurely encountered many failures in its roofing system.

Cooperson Associates managed and directed a team to survey the existing conditions and report on their findings.  Upon investigation, our team documented extensive blistering, ponding, wet insulation, holes and gouges, wrinkles, fishmouths and granular loss on the roof membrane.

The state began a phased roof repair program planned to extend the roof’s lifespan.
